Funding of the Katharina and Gerhard Hoffmann Foundation

The Katharina and Gerhard Hoffmann Foundation supports non-profit initiatives nationwide in the fields of youth welfare, arts & culture, and monument preservation. Eligible for funding are legally registered associations, foundations, interest groups, and public institutions that are sustainably committed to children, youth, social projects, cultural offerings, or the preservation of architectural heritage. The foundation awards unrestricted grants to financially strengthen creative endeavors, social aid projects, and monument conservation measures, thereby setting forward-looking impulses in communities and society.

Funding applications can be submitted informally at any time and should include a concise project description, a cost estimate, and a detailed financing plan. Also to be enclosed are the completed foundation questionnaire and a current tax exemption certificate. Upon receipt of the documents, the board consults irregularly on the allocation of funds and informs applicants promptly about approvals or rejections. In case of a positive decision, a funding agreement is concluded, with transparent regulations regarding conditions and fund disbursements. Finally, a usage report including a brief factual report, financial overview, and photographic documentation must be submitted. In this way, the foundation ensures careful use of funds and promotes sustainable projects benefiting children, youth, culture, and historical heritage.
