Description
The Liebelt Foundation supports projects in contemporary visual arts nationwide, as well as (vocational) training and care measures aimed at integrating socially disadvantaged youth and young adults. Funding is provided to non-profit associations, foundations, public institutions, or educational establishments that initiate innovative exhibitions, artist collectives, or scholarly studies. The focus is on contemporary artists, researchers, and students, as well as teachers, curators, and art educators. In parallel, the social funding targets practice-oriented training projects that enable participation and reintegration into the community. Through this dual strategy, the foundation strengthens the role of art in a diverse society and creates concrete opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
Applications may be submitted at any time; submissions received by March 15 will be considered for the decision in May, and those received by September 15 for the session in November. Funded projects must be realized in Germany and submitted by a non-profit institution. Required documents include a completed application form, a project description (max. 3 pages), a budget and financing plan, proof of non-profit status, and, if applicable, letters of recommendation from professors and supplementary materials (CVs, images, or similar). Grants are awarded as subsidies without legal entitlement. The goal is to sustainably anchor artistic creativity and social commitment and to provide young people with access to artistic education and social participation.
