Description
The Monika Kutzner Foundation supports innovative projects in the field of cancer research through its nationwide grant program. The aim is to support research activities, infrastructures, and scientific events, as well as the publication and translation of relevant studies. Additionally, the foundation strengthens national and international exchange among cancer researchers through financial contributions to conferences and collaborations. Educational institutions, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and also individuals are invited to apply. Through the foundation’s historically significant focus, named after Monika Kutzner, a sustainable network is created that accelerates research results and optimizes treatment opportunities for those affected.
For submission, an informal application together with the applicant’s curriculum vitae and a detailed project description according to DFG project documentation is required. Project documents may be written in German or English, with a German summary mandatorily attached. Application packages are preferably accepted by email or on CD-ROM. All funding requests are decided annually by the board; the submission deadline is May 31 each year. This transparent allocation practice enables scientists and research institutions to receive quickly plannable funding for the further development of pioneering cancer research projects.
