Funding by the Prof. Dr. Dieter Bopp Foundation (Student Support for Industrial Engineering at THM)

The Prof. Dr. Dieter Bopp Foundation provides financial support in the form of grants or loans to students enrolled in Industrial Engineering and Production Engineering programs at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (Friedberg campus) as well as at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen. Eligible applicants include all enrolled students in the specified fields of study. The foundation, based in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, aims to specifically strengthen education, research, and innovation within these disciplines. Applications can be submitted by March 31 and October 31 each year; the official Prof. Dr. Bopp Foundation application form (PDF) must be submitted for this purpose. Regions, thematic areas, and funding scopes include vocational training & continuing education, education, as well as research & innovation. The funds are allocated directly to benefit the students, providing financial flexibility for study expenses, stays abroad, or advanced master’s programs.

The awarding committee, composed of representatives from THM and RWTH Aachen, decides on the allocation of funds based on the submitted applications and subject-specific recommendations. Beyond pure study financing, the foundation supports application-oriented scientific work, interdisciplinary research projects, and initiatives that sustainably promote the development of both fields.
