Promotion of Socioculture

The promotion of socioculture in Baden-Württemberg strengthens the cultural engagement of non-profit initiatives and sociocultural centers through financial grants. The program supports projects of various orientations in the fields of culture and culture & media and benefits both conceptual program work and construction projects. In addition to project costs, funds are allocated for equipment measures and structural repairs to create attractive venues for cultural participation. Ongoing program series are also supported to ensure continuity and quality in the sociocultural landscape. As a continuously available funding source, the program offers planning security for forward-looking initiatives.

Eligible to apply are non-profit cultural initiatives run by private sponsors as well as municipalities – the latter exclusively for construction measures. A permanent location in Baden-Württemberg is a prerequisite. Eligible expenses include project conception, acquisitions, construction measures, and regular program work. The funding type grant enables tailored financing of individual projects as well as longer-term activities. With a view to a diverse cultural landscape in rural areas and cities, sponsors are especially encouraged to expand existing potentials and introduce new impulses.
