Description
The Wolfgang Reiniger Foundation is committed to children's and youth athletics in Essen through continuous grants. The goal of the funding initiative is to sustainably support talented athletes aged 6 to 16 and to strengthen their personal development. In addition to financing individual training measures, the focus is on close cooperation between schools and sports clubs as well as the promotion of joint club and school projects. Through these coordinated funding components, young athletes are optimally prepared for competitions, and the team spirit is equally fostered.
Eligible for funding are private individuals, interest groups, and educational institutions in the city of Essen that support young athletes. Requirements include, among others, residence in Essen, active participation in an athletics working group, a sports club, or a school athletics group, as well as the specified age. Funded are training camps, professional coaching services, procurement of sports equipment, and innovative event formats for talent development. Funding applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring maximum flexibility for projects of any size. Through these grants, the foundation makes a valuable contribution to regional youth development in sports and helps to sustainably anchor enthusiasm for athletics among children and adolescents.
