Description
The driving skills training subsidy supports private households in Upper Austria in actively enhancing road safety: private individuals with their main residence in the state can apply for vouchers worth €40 or €75 for professionally conducted driving skills training. The measure targets all persons with a valid driving license who wish to optimize their driving abilities. The vouchers are redeemable with authorized providers such as driving schools, ÖAMTC, or ARBÖ, with only training fees recognized as eligible expenses. The budget volume is limited to €0.7 million and is available continuously until funds are exhausted. The funding objective is the sustainable reduction of accident numbers and raising awareness for safe driving behavior in everyday life.
To apply, a fully completed order form and a funding declaration from the administering organization are required. Further prerequisites include compliance with application and project deadlines as well as adherence to the funding guidelines. Approval depends on the availability of budget funds and fulfillment of all funding criteria. After submission, the Traffic Department at the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government reviews the requirements and confirms the voucher allocation. Payment is made directly through the implementing agencies, which submit participation confirmations and participant lists for billing. This ensures uncomplicated access to targeted driving skills measures and sustainably strengthens road safety for all involved.
