Description

The state program "Support for Family Relief Services" in Baden-Württemberg assists non-profit organizations in establishing and further developing needs-based, statewide services for the short-term care of people with disabilities. Both personnel expenses and material costs are funded with a grant of up to €24,000 per 100,000 inhabitants. Eligible applicants include providers of independent welfare services, churches and religious communities under public law, municipal authorities, as well as other non-profit organizations and foundations that offer services relieving families and individuals with disabilities, taking into account outpatient care forms, private shared housing, or assisted living arrangements. A prerequisite for funding is proof that the service corresponds to the task profile and catchment area of the social planning of the responsible city or district, as well as evidence of the municipal co-financing share.

The application must include the completed application form, proof of the catchment area, and confirmation of the municipal co-financing share. The program is continuously open for applications, allowing project proposals to be submitted at any time. The goal is the sustainable maintenance of a comprehensive network of family relief services that flexibly responds to local needs and effectively supports people with disabilities and their relatives in physically and psychologically challenging care situations. Funding is provided in accordance with the administrative regulation of the Ministry of Social Affairs for assistance to people with disabilities and contributes to closing care gaps and securing long-term care structures in the region.
