Description

The funding for small-scale agricultural water management systems in Tyrol supports agricultural and forestry enterprises in the construction and modernization of small drainage and irrigation systems. The goal is the sustainable improvement of production conditions through soil amelioration and efficient water use to enhance plant quality and performance. Since November 11, 2013, there has been an unlimited opportunity to submit grant applications for projects applied for prior to the start of construction. Payment is made upon submission of accounting documents and receipts, and for more extensive measures, also in partial amounts corresponding to construction progress.

Eligible for funding are companies and private individuals managing agricultural and forestry land in Tyrol who plan small-scale drainage or irrigation systems. A corresponding property and timely submission of the application before construction begins are prerequisites. The application must include a detailed project description, a site plan showing the structural facilities, and, if applicable, the necessary approval notices. The grant is provided as direct funding from state funds and is subject to the provisions of the Tyrolean Agricultural Act (§ 7 LGBl 3/1975). Interested enterprises can continuously submit applications and benefit from state funds to combine yield security and climate protection aspects in agricultural water management.
