Description

The Public Employment Service (AMS) provides, within the framework of funding for non-profit employment projects, temporary, fully insured transitional employment positions to enable sustainable reintegration into the labor market for hard-to-place individuals. Providers must be non-profit organizations that do not operate in classical market competition. The measure is offered nationwide and can be co-financed by the EU, with the AMS covering 100% of the defined personnel and material costs. Target groups are primarily long-term unemployed persons as well as other labor market policy problem groups with limited productivity, who benefit from accompanying services such as social work, psychosocial, or qualifying support measures.

Applications can be submitted continuously until the budget is exhausted and have been possible since January 1, 2013. Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations that offer temporary employment relationships with a transitional function and simultaneously provide a package of professional support. Both personnel costs and necessary material costs are funded. This grant aims to reduce barriers and permanently improve the employability of participants. The measure complements existing labor market policy instruments and contributes to increasing the employment participation of disadvantaged groups in Austria.
