In Lower Austria, the Sports Medical Basic Examination Funding supports the health and competitive fitness of young athletes in the performance youth sector. The goal is to minimize health risks and ensure the performance capability of athletes who have been formally nominated in writing by the Lower Austria Youth Competence Center, Lower Austria Football Academies, or Lower Austria Sports Associations as members of youth squads or youth training centers. The vouchers are valid until December 31 of the year of issue and can be redeemed once per athlete per year. For the application to the Lower Austria State Government, Department of Sports, the completed application form and the electronic attachment "Sports Medical Basic Examination" are required. Since January 1, 2017, there has been an unlimited funding opportunity available to private individuals in Lower Austria's youth competitive sports.
