Description
The State of Burgenland supports international humanitarian aid projects as well as cross-border partnership projects with neighboring countries through an open-ended grant program. Initiatives in the fields of development cooperation and agriculture & rural development are eligible for funding. Eligible applicants include interest groups and other associations, public institutions, as well as individuals who plan sustainable projects aimed at improving living conditions or agricultural structures abroad. The ongoing funding opportunity allows for submissions at any time, enabling both rapid responses to acute emergencies and long-term partnership concepts.
For a grant, a fully completed application form with a detailed project description must be submitted. Original documents such as invoices and payment confirmations serve as proof of proper use of funds. Support is granted based on an individual decision by the State of Burgenland and is equally aimed at non-profit associations, institutions, and private individuals. By combining financial support with administrative assistance, project sponsors are given the opportunity to deepen cross-border cooperation and make a sustainable contribution to rural development and humanitarian aid.
