Funding of measures to relieve caregiving relatives and support volunteer helpers, hospice work, family care services, and village assistance

The funding program of the state of Baden-Württemberg is aimed at non-profit organizations and public institutions that wish to effectively relieve caregiving relatives as well as volunteers. The focus is on support through low-threshold care services for people with dementia – whether in local care groups or as an in-home service. Furthermore, the funding aims to strengthen hospice work, family nursing services, and village assistance, thereby maintaining the family unit in acute emergencies. As a grant, the program supports both personnel and material costs and enables a needs-based expansion of support services in both urban and rural regions of Baden-Württemberg. Applications can be submitted continuously and allow flexible project design based on actual needs in the municipalities.

Eligible for funding are outpatient services and facilities under the sponsorship of independent welfare organizations, church or religious public law corporations, non-profit nursing associations, other non-profit providers, as well as municipal authorities. A prerequisite for the subsidy is the submission of a fully completed application form in accordance with the administrative regulation. By specifically supporting volunteers and professional caregivers, the program makes an important contribution to relieving caregiving relatives and securing regional care structures in the fields of health, social affairs, and labor.
