Description
The funding for grid connections in conjunction with charging infrastructure is aimed at property owners, municipalities, companies, associations, and clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia. The purpose of the grant is the technical connection of locally contiguous parking and garage complexes (at least four parking spaces, older than two years) to the power grid in order to supply non-publicly accessible charging points with a minimum charging capacity of 11 kW, thereby supporting the expansion of electromobility. The funding is provided as a co-financing of 20% of the eligible expenses, but no more than €10,000, and includes, among other things, grid connections, upgrades, civil engineering, foundations, cabling up to the distribution box, transformers, as well as necessary modifications to the distribution box. Only one joint connection per complex is subsidized.
Interested applicants must submit a cost estimate, proof of the stationary charging point, and PIN code procedure by December 31, 2026, via the electronic application form of the Arnsberg District Government. After a positive review, a grant approval notice will be issued, with which the measure can be commissioned and completed within 18 months. Subsequently, payment is made upon submission of the proof of use. A prerequisite for payment is the timely commissioning and execution of the work as well as compliance with the award and ancillary conditions (ANBest-P or ANBest-G). The measure may only be started after approval. This ensures transparent use of funds and a sustainable strengthening of the charging infrastructure in NRW.
