Description
The Bürgerstiftung Rellingen grants year-round funding for local projects with a direct connection to the municipality of Rellingen (Schleswig-Holstein). Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, foundations, public institutions, educational providers, as well as private individuals who wish to implement statutory projects in the areas of child and youth welfare, elderly care, cultural preservation, sports, education, and vocational training. Applications can be submitted at any time; a brief preliminary inquiry is recommended to clarify the fundamental suitability of the project. The foundation’s advisory board decides independently on approvals, which are generally granted for 12 months. Funding covers personnel costs, material costs, project-related expenses, as well as public relations measures. Pure construction measures, commercial events, political groups, permanently indefinite commitments, and projects outside the municipality or the statutory foundation purposes are excluded.
For approval, a valid exemption notice (§ 51 AO) as well as a completed application form with a cost and financing plan and a concise project description are required. Selection criteria include civic contribution, sustainability, model and exemplary character, innovative approach, voluntary involvement, and public identification. Funding is provided exclusively if the project generates a tangible benefit for the population of Rellingen and the Bürgerstiftung Rellingen is clearly recognized as the main sponsor. The responsibility for the legal and professional implementation lies with the applicants; the foundation excludes liability for damages.
