Funding of Projects (Lucie Strewe Foundation e.V.)

The Lucie Strewe Foundation e.V. has continuously supported civil society initiatives, educational institutions, associations, and private individuals across Germany since 2016 who are committed to democracy, tolerance, and openness to the world. As a family-run organization, the foundation funds projects addressing topics such as antisemitism prevention, culture of remembrance, civil courage, or discrimination. Sponsors of film, exhibition, and educational projects receive financial grants as well as professional support. For the application, a project description and contact with the foundation suffice – applications can be submitted at any time. The decisive factors are relevance to social cohesion, a sustainable concept, and a clear educational and awareness-raising benefit.

Projects of all legal forms are supported, ranging from non-profit organizations and educational institutions to committed individuals. The Lucie Strewe Foundation’s fund continuously provides resources to implement and highlight actions and events related to democracy, civil courage, and commemorative culture. Applicants benefit from a straightforward submission process and a transparent selection procedure based on clear criteria. An additional offering includes the provision of short and feature films as well as accompanying exhibitions, which have already been widely used in schools, associations, and public discourse formats.
