Description
The state subsidy funding supports vocational and professional schools for social professions in Baden-Württemberg with the aim of ensuring high-quality and needs-based training in areas such as social pedagogy, curative education, special education, geriatric nursing assistance, and home and family care. Eligible to apply are schools under public or independent sponsorship that are approved as substitute schools and whose rental and investment costs are not already covered under the Hospital Financing Act (KHG). The funding targets institutions that conduct their training according to the provisions of the Nursing Professions Act and have a corresponding approval period. With a funding amount of up to 70% of the eligible expenses, the state of Baden-Württemberg makes a decisive contribution to improving the financial framework conditions for providing necessary school facilities.
Both rental costs and investment costs for school premises are funded over a period of 12 months. Applications must be submitted annually by March 1 – either online via Service-BW or by postal submission of the form. Important prerequisites, in addition to sponsorship and approval as a substitute school, include the submission of a deployment report with anonymized student numbers as well as bank statements as proof of expenses. The decision on the grant is made, among other criteria, based on the number of trainees during the funding period, the duration of the approval period, and the school location. Upon positive approval, 70% of the funding amount is paid out immediately, with the remaining 30% disbursed after timely submission of the usage report in the following year.
