Description

The state funding is aimed at New Middle Schools, Polytechnic Schools, and upper secondary schools in Upper Austria to enable school-related language project weeks within the country. With a funding rate of 50%, up to €365 per class is supported for the use of native speakers. In the field of education, training & further education, this grant financing strengthens foreign language skills and intercultural learning processes in practice-oriented settings. As part of the state's education strategy, it promotes pedagogical innovations, enriches the curriculum offering with authentic communication opportunities, and contributes to sustainable language awareness. In view of global networking and international mobility requirements, the program makes a significant contribution to preparing students for academic studies and professional demands. A written application using the form KGD-Geft/E-17 must be submitted before the event begins. Eligible costs include native speakers, fees, and language practice materials. Funding prerequisites are a minimum number of ten participants, a maximum of 25 students for cross-class projects, and a project duration of at least five calendar days as a school event or school-related measure. Since ongoing application opportunities exist, educational institutions can plan flexibly and submit new project ideas throughout the year.
