Description
This funding supports targeted research projects for the protection, regulation, and sustainable use of feathered and furred game in Lower Austria. The focus is on studies to secure biodiversity, assess the conservation status, and preserve natural habitats. The instrument is aimed at natural and legal persons as well as companies, non-profit organizations, public institutions, cooperatives, interest groups, other associations, and foundations. The funding measure can be applied for continuously and is provided in the form of a grant. A thoroughly developed project plan with a financing and cost breakdown as well as a sufficient demonstration of public interest must be submitted. Applications are professionally evaluated by experts from the Lower Austrian state government and approved by the Lower Austrian state parliament upon authorization.
Applicants must sign a declaration of commitment in accordance with § 63 para. 4 of the Lower Austrian Hunting Act 1974 and prove that no conflicting public funds have been applied for or received for the same project. To be submitted are the project description including public interest, a detailed financing plan, a cost breakdown, and, if applicable, declarations regarding other subsidies. Applications are free of charge and can be submitted continuously since January 16, 2014. After approval, an annual documentation of the scientific results, a final cost statement including receipts, and a report on the use of the funds are required by March 31 each year.
