Funding by the Lohmar Citizens' Foundation

The Lohmar Citizens' Foundation continuously supports non-profit associations, interest groups, and other organizations based in Lohmar. In the diverse fields of activity – ranging from education and culture to sports, environmental and animal protection, as well as vocational training, infrastructure, and social engagement – acquisitions and project costs are subsidized. The target group comprises local initiatives and associations that contribute to social cohesion and the vibrancy of the city. Funding measures apply, for example, to the purchase of sports equipment such as balls, musical instruments, or sheet music, as well as to the organization and implementation of educational, artistic, or environmentally related projects. Due to the low-threshold application process without fixed deadlines, applicants can submit their project ideas continuously and receive a prompt decision based on the submitted documentation.

A prerequisite for funding is proof of non-profit status as well as proof of location in Lohmar. The Citizens' Foundation places great importance on transparent project descriptions and assesses eligibility for funding based on submitted cost plans. Funding is provided primarily for expenses related to material acquisitions and project-specific costs that create a direct added value for the Lohmar community in the aforementioned thematic areas. Through this ongoing funding initiative, the foundation strengthens local engagement and helps bring ideas to fruition that enrich the cultural, social, and ecological life in Lohmar.
