Description
In the state of Lower Austria, a continuous funding initiative strengthens education in the nursing and care sector. The goal is to sustainably meet the qualitative and quantitative labor demand in the health and social sector by the year 2030. Two funding instruments are available for this purpose: the Lower Austria Nursing Training Premium for training in nursing assistance, nursing specialist assistance, registered health and nursing care, as well as specialized and diploma social care, and the Lower Austria Village Helper Scholarship for training as a village helper. Direct subsidies create financial incentives to make nursing careers in Lower Austria even more attractive and to ensure the long-term security of care for the population.
Eligible private individuals can submit applications at any time to the Society for Research Promotion Lower Austria (GFF), provided that the training at a Lower Austrian educational institution has already begun or will start shortly. Essential requirements include proof of the respective training, a current school attendance or enrollment confirmation, and, for the nursing training premium, the waiver of a nursing scholarship from the AMS. The submission must include a registration confirmation, the document confirming the start of training, and the school confirmation. Detailed regulations on eligibility, submission deadlines, and funding guidelines can be found in the official funding documents of the GFF, ensuring a transparent and straightforward application process.
