Description

The "Generations Funding" according to the general funding guidelines has continuously supported projects in Salzburg since July 1, 2020, aimed at the social, legal, and economic equality of seniors. In addition to specific project costs, material and structural costs are also funded, including fees, material and personnel expenses, as well as room rentals. The goal is to strengthen senior organizations in organizing network meetings, cultural events, and comprehensive advisory services. Through this diversification of funding areas in social affairs, culture, and work & social services, active participation of older generations in social life is sustainably promoted.

Funding applications can be submitted by interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, companies, educational institutions, and private individuals, with seniors aged 55 and over (women) and 60 and over (men) at the center. Regional balance as well as cooperative project implementation are important evaluation criteria. Applications can be submitted at any time and must be received no later than two months before the project start or, for annual funding, by June 30 of the previous year. The application includes the completed funding request, a detailed concept of the activity, and a budget plan. After a positive review, a written approval is issued specifying the funding amount, payment modalities, and deadline for the proof of use (usually by March 31 of the following year). This funding instrument thus opens up new opportunities for seniors for social participation and cultural integration.
