Description
This grant program supports health initiatives for children, adolescents, and seniors in Salzburg. Associations, self-help groups, or non-profit organizations can submit funding applications to implement age-appropriate projects that sustainably strengthen individual health literacy and improve learning and living conditions. The focus is on health-promoting behavioral and structural changes, for example through informational, training, or framework measures. Applications must be submitted annually by June 1st of the current year for the following year, with funding provided in the form of a grant covering expenses for personnel costs, operating costs, and other project-related expenditures.
Funded projects must have a causal connection to the federal state of Salzburg, be time-limited, and reflect the Austrian national health objectives. They are guided by quality criteria such as equal opportunities, empowerment, the setting approach, participation, sustainability, and networking. A recognizable innovation approach and the mandatory implementation of an evaluation are further funding prerequisites. For the application, among other documents, statutes and bylaws, a detailed financing plan with budget and final accounts, as well as written declarations regarding inspection rights and data protection, must be submitted. The goal is to create suitable framework conditions in the family and public environment and to promote holistic quality of life and dignity in old age. This continuously open program supports forward-looking initiatives that generate measurable added value for the health of the Salzburg population.
