- Continuous main residence registration in Burgenland prior to contract signing
- Austrian citizenship or corresponding nationality according to the state treaty or EU law
- Completion of the admission procedure and determination of suitability at the Office of the Burgenland State Government and at FH Campus Wien
- Commitment to socio-pedagogical activities in inpatient child and youth welfare in Burgenland for at least 60 months (plus 12 months grace period)
Description
The state of Burgenland supports the program “Granting of Scholarships for Academic Social Pedagogy-Social Therapy, Bgld. KJHG” by fully covering the course fee amounting to € 7,000 for the university course “Academic Social Pedagogy-Social Therapy in Residential Child and Youth Care” at FH Campus Wien. Up to 15 scholarship recipients benefit from this 100% subsidy, which is awarded continuously without a fixed deadline. The goal is to qualify professionals in the field of residential child and youth care in order to sustainably improve the quality of care in Burgenland. Eligible applicants are private individuals with their main residence in Burgenland, Austrian or corresponding EU citizenship, successful admission procedures at the authority and university, as well as a commitment to at least 60 months (plus 12 months grace period) of social pedagogical work in the federal state.
The subsidy exclusively covers the course fee and waives VAT invoicing. Students newly enrolling in the program from the summer semester 2024 or 2025 onwards who meet all funding requirements may apply at any time. The academic course combines practice-oriented methods of social pedagogy with therapeutic approaches and is aimed at all those wishing to work in the social and educational sector. This support helps to attract new professionals who will contribute to strengthening child and youth welfare in Burgenland in the long term.
