The Jakob-Leonhard Foundation of the Association of German Road Workers (VDStra.) provides nationwide uncomplicated assistance for employees and members in the road and traffic sector who find themselves in a proven and unavoidable emergency. Complementary to existing social security systems, financial grants or in-kind benefits can be granted to quickly alleviate acute emergencies. The support is exclusively aimed at private applicants with VDStra. membership who can demonstrate with verifiable evidence that other support systems are not applicable or not yet effective at the time of need. Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring ongoing security in the areas of social affairs, health, as well as work & social services.

Founded in 2008 and named after the VDStra. founder Jakob Leonhard, the foundation, as an independent institution, closes gaps in provision within the road and traffic service.
