Description

Assistance for participation for people with disabilities in the federal state of Salzburg – Education and Schooling is an ongoing grant from the Salzburg state government that enables eligible private individuals to receive adequate schooling at public or private compulsory schools as well as comparable institutions. The aim of the program is to cover additional costs related to disabilities in order to ensure equal opportunities for participation in the education system. Eligible for funding are people with a disability as defined by the Salzburg Participation Act, who have their main residence in the state of Salzburg and either hold Austrian citizenship or an equivalent residency status. All expenses directly related to education and schooling can be considered within this funding.

To receive support, applicants must submit the application before the start of the measure to the responsible district administrative authority and prove that no comparable benefits can be obtained from other legal or contractual regulations. Requirements: Presence of a recognized disability, main residence in the state of Salzburg (for adults, uninterrupted for at least three years), Austrian citizenship or equivalent residency status. For the application, registration certificates, income proofs of the applicant or maintenance-obligated relatives, proof of care allowance receipt, as well as documents verifying citizenship or residency rights and, if applicable, authorization of representation must be submitted. The funding, which is available indefinitely, is provided in the form of a one-time or ongoing grant.
