Description
The Lianne Franzky-Beckmann Foundation annually supports highly gifted students from Bonn with individual annual scholarships until graduation. In cooperation with the High Ability Center Rhineland (HBZ) in Brühl, the scholarship holders receive financial support and professional guidance over a period of 12 months. The aim of the funding is to promote talented young people with outstanding achievements in mathematics and German, provided the family's financial resources are insufficient. A prerequisite for a successful application is proof of residence or school attendance in Bonn, a recommendation from the school, a detailed funding request, as well as submission of a current report card and a completed application form. Selection is based on excellent report card grades, financial need, and specific funding requests that enable targeted development of the special talent.
Interested students can submit their documents by May 30th of each year. In addition to the application form, a school assessment and a copy of the latest report card must be attached. After reviewing the documents by the foundation, a testing procedure takes place at the HBZ, which usually includes a group test and individual interviews. Subsequently, the foundation board invites the recommended candidates to a personal interview and makes a prompt decision regarding the awarding of the annual scholarships. This funding is specifically aimed at gifted students who require equal opportunities and a solid financial basis to fully develop their potential until graduation.
