Description
The funding for the maintenance of small water bodies in the state of Salzburg is aimed at water cooperatives and agricultural communities under agricultural authority, which implement sustainable maintenance and care measures. With a subsidy ranging from 20% to 66%, activities such as embankment area maintenance, shrub care, the repair of pipe channels, as well as bank protection structures and drainage clearing are supported. The goal is to preserve existing drainage systems, protect the riparian habitat, and improve ecological functionality. Applications can be submitted continuously, with the registration of planned work required by January 15 of the current year.
A prerequisite for approval is compliance with the "Guideline for Maintenance of Small Water Bodies," a comprehensible documentation of all measures, and their economic design. Eligible expenses must be documented with completed forms, the current guideline, execution reports, original invoices, and proof of payment. Professional and arithmetic checks, and if necessary, on-site inspections, ensure proper processing. Through this targeted support, the state of Salzburg contributes to climate protection and sustainable water management.
