Description
The interdisciplinary early intervention and family support in Styria is aimed at non-profit organizations that assist children aged 0 to 6 years (up to three months after school entry) in precarious life situations. As an open-ended grant funding, it enables early intervention in the home or outpatient environment to address developmental delays, behavioral issues, and psychological stress. Hearing children of deaf parents are also considered, as well as families with potential risks to the child’s welfare. The goal is to build a stable network through close collaboration with parents, relatives, and professionals that facilitates everyday situations and strengthens caregivers in their competence.
A prerequisite for service provision is private-law child and youth welfare institutions with a written service contract with the Styrian State Government. The funding covers not only classic early intervention services but also includes the entire living environment to achieve sustainable positive developments. Applications can be submitted at any time and have been open indefinitely since October 31, 2013. Families benefit from tailored care that flexibly adapts to individual support needs and ensures holistic accompaniment through interdisciplinary collaboration.
