Description
The investment support for the construction, adaptation, renovation, and furnishing of kindergartens in Upper Austria assists private legal entities in creating modern and safe childcare spaces. Funding is provided for construction measures – from shell construction and structural adaptations to comprehensive renovations and the provision of child-appropriate furniture and educational materials. Sponsors such as associations, parishes, religious communities, or individuals from across Upper Austria can thus improve the spatial and functional quality of their facilities and thereby further enhance the educational and care conditions for children and youth. The funding aims at demand-oriented expansion and sustainable investments in early childhood education, thereby contributing to social development and equal opportunities in the region.
Applications can be submitted continuously until no later than before the start of construction and are granted as a direct subsidy. A prerequisite is a timely submitted application including a detailed cost estimate and a binding catalog of measures, in compliance with the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. Eligible expenses include all construction, adaptation, renovation, and furnishing costs. Due to the uncomplicated application process, there is no time restriction, allowing concrete plans to be implemented flexibly. Support is provided by the responsible specialist department of the state government, which reviews compliance with the funding conditions and decides on the disbursement. This program offers private daycare providers a reliable financing perspective for forward-looking investments in early childhood education infrastructure.
