Description
The Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern supports an ongoing grant program for projects aimed at information and awareness-raising about the national park concept and the complex relationship between humans and the environment in Carinthia. Eligible for funding are private individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations, cooperatives, as well as associations and organizations, provided they act as sponsors of projects worthy of support. The goal is to create a sustainable connection to the Hohe Tauern National Park through targeted communication and educational measures and to deepen public understanding of ecological interrelationships. Applications can be submitted year-round, with the decision of the Hohe Tauern National Park Committee marking the official project start.
Within a possible project duration of up to 36 months, up to 75% of eligible costs – including planning costs, construction costs, and other expenses – can be covered. Applicants are required to contribute reasonable in-kind services and strictly adhere to the funding guidelines. The application process requires: the completed form, all official permits, a detailed financing plan including total costs, own contributions, and committed funding, proof of legal status (for associations), as well as a signed declaration of commitment. Following a positive funding approval, disbursement is made in installments or as a lump sum. The program encourages the implementation of innovative environmental education concepts and aims to sustainably anchor the national park idea in the public consciousness.
