Description
The state of Salzburg supports recognized emergency organizations and public institutions within the federal state in participating in international disaster protection exercises, competitions, and other prevention projects. The focus is on both practical exercises such as EU-TARANIS involving multiple member states and thematic events like the Children’s and Seniors’ Safety Olympics. The objective is to test the EU-internal procedures for activating international disaster protection forces and to strengthen cross-border cooperation. The funding contribution is granted as a direct subsidy and paid out immediately upon approval. Applications can be submitted continuously and at any time, provided that the applicant’s registered office and area of activity are located in the state of Salzburg.
For the application, the following documents are required in accordance with the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding by the State of Salzburg: a fully completed funding application, proof of legal status and authority to represent (statutes/bylaws), budget for the current fiscal year, most recent financial statement, detailed financing plan including total costs, own contributions and third-party funds, as well as written declarations regarding access to usage records and data protection (§ 8 DSG 2000). The funding offers emergency organizations sustainable support in international cooperation and contributes to the continuous strengthening of civil disaster protection in Salzburg.
