Description
In Vienna, under the special guideline "Child Protection and Violence Prevention," innovative concepts and measures to strengthen the protection of children and adolescents are funded. Funding is provided, among other things, for the development and revision of child protection concepts, training events for professionals, preventive and victim-oriented youth and offender work, as well as awareness-raising projects on forms of violence such as sexualized or tradition-related violence and cyber violence. Additionally, regional projects, a specialist unit for process support, and a 24/7 first contact point for victims of violence (hotline 116000) can be financed. The goal is to improve prevention, the professional detection of grievances, and the sustainable protection of minors in all areas of life.
The funding is aimed at associations, non-profit organizations, and church institutions operating exclusively in Austria, with a 100% grant rate. Per project and year, between €2,500 and €100,000 can be applied for personnel and material costs; psychotherapeutic treatments, bank fees, leasing or loan installments, as well as personnel administration costs are excluded. Funding applications must be submitted by October 15 each year. Required documents include the fully completed online application, extract from the association register and statutes or commercial register excerpt, proof of signing authority, as well as the previous year's financial statement. The measure is valid from May 1, 2024, to May 31, 2029.
