Description
The funding initiative “LED Systems for Indoor Areas under 20 kW” is aimed at businesses, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations throughout Austria. Its objective is to convert existing lighting installations in commercially used buildings from conventional light sources to energy-efficient LED systems with a total connected load of at least 0.5 kW and under 20 kW. Additionally, automated lighting control can be integrated. This not only reduces electricity consumption and operating costs but also makes an important contribution to climate protection. Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2025, provided that implementation was commissioned by June 30, 2025 at the latest and all investments are completed and paid by the time of application.
In addition to the LED systems, planning and installation costs as well as installation-related cable and wiring installations, conduit and support systems, switching and socket devices, and the required automation technology are eligible for funding. A prerequisite for the grant is the online application via the Kommunalkredit Public Consulting portal. The application must include the fully signed funding settlement form with confirmation of the funding conditions, scanned invoice documents specifying the quantity and electrical power of the installed luminaires, as well as a De-Minimis declaration. This clear structure and comprehensive cost framework ensure efficient and transparent processing, facilitating businesses and organizations on their path to sustainable lighting solutions.
