Description

In Vienna, the wage subsidy for persons injured covered by accident insurance offers individuals in the field of Work & Social Affairs tailored support for vocational rehabilitation. Those affected who initially do not earn full wages due to a work accident or occupational disease receive a subsidy for up to 48 months equal to the difference to the regular wage. With a funding rate of 100%, all wage costs are covered, ensuring the transition period is optimally secured financially. Thanks to ongoing funding opportunities, the application can be submitted at any time, enabling a seamless entry into the measure until the required skills are fully developed.

The basic prerequisite is taking up employment in Vienna where income is reduced due to health limitations. The funding extends over a maximum of four years and considers only wage costs as eligible expenses. Payment up to the full wage is made via the subsidy, which is applied for directly with the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (Section II). Through this targeted financial relief, those affected gain the time and security to restore their capacity to work and sustainably establish themselves in the primary labor market.
