Description

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg (MSGIV) continuously provides grants for non-profit interest groups and associations within the framework of the "Disability Policy Action Package." Projects in the fields of health, social affairs, as well as work & social affairs, which serve the comprehensive implementation and support of disability policy requirements in the State of Brandenburg, are funded. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of participation, accessibility, and equality for persons with disabilities and impairments in accordance with the Brandenburg Disability Equality Act. The State Specialist Office for Social Affairs and Care (LASV) in Cottbus acts as the granting authority, responsible for reviewing and awarding the funding based on the available budget and within the scope of discretion.

Interested associations may submit their applications at any time but must present them in writing before the start of the measure to the LASV. A prerequisite is that the planned project has not yet commenced. The funding application must include a detailed concept and project description, as well as evidence of the statutes or articles of association, an extract from the register of associations, and a list of authorized representatives. Additional necessary documents include proof of authorization pursuant to § 30 BGB and the tax exemption certificate from the tax office. Upon positive review, a grant award notice is issued with binding conditions regarding the use of funds and reporting obligations. This ensures that all funded measures are carried out free of discrimination and barriers, and that the set objectives concerning accessibility and participation are reliably achieved.
