Description

In Carinthia, a continuously available grant funding is provided that enables experts and non-profit organizations to implement comprehensive addiction prevention programs. Targeted offerings in kindergartens, schools, youth-relevant institutions, and communities aim to reach children, adolescents, and young adults at risk of addiction at an early stage. Additionally, multiplier training sessions, individual and group support, as well as counseling services for educational professionals' relatives are offered. The funding objective includes imparting knowledge about the risks of substance use, strengthening educational professionals, and supporting affected individuals through qualified specialists – all free of charge for participants and trainees in the social and educational sectors.

Interested applicants must demonstrate professional expertise in the field of addiction disorders and conclude a cooperation agreement with the State of Carinthia. Submission requires a detailed presentation of the planned service delivery as well as proof of qualification and practical experience of the involved staff. Funding is granted based on a discretionary decision and follows the general guidelines for funding from state resources. Since 01.01.2014, applications can be submitted at any time without a fixed deadline. This funding perspective supports committed actors in establishing binding prevention structures and sustainably contributing to the health promotion of children, adolescents, their families, and educational professionals.
