Description
The media project of the Vienna Media Initiative is aimed at established and newly founded media companies as well as founders with headquarters or branches in Vienna who wish to realize high-quality, innovative media offerings. Within the funding initiative, investments in technical equipment and machinery are as much a focus as personnel and travel costs for employees and business trips, as well as external consulting services by qualified service providers. With a funding rate of up to 60%, the program supports small and medium-sized enterprises in launching creative projects and sustainably strengthening their market presence. Applications can be submitted from January 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
Eligible for funding are companies and start-ups from the media sector that can prove their company headquarters in Vienna. The maximum funding amount is €100,000 and covers expenses for acquisitions, training and further education costs, as well as professional consulting. The goal is to promote the development of forward-looking media formats and to diversify Vienna’s media landscape in the long term. Interested applicants benefit from a clearly structured application process and receive grants that significantly contribute to the unfolding of creative potential and the implementation of demanding media projects.
