Description
The state funding for multiple births supports families in Burgenland with the special challenges associated with twin and multiple births. This one-time financial grant from the state of Burgenland strengthens social responsibility towards families and helps enable an adequate standard of living. Eligible are custodians who have their main residence in Burgenland together with their multiples and who are entitled to family allowance. Alternatively, representatives of youth welfare organizations or suitable foster persons may also qualify, provided that appropriate custody by the child and youth welfare organization exists.
As a grant with a funding rate of 100%, €700 is awarded for a twin birth; each additional multiple child increases the grant by €300. Applicants can apply for the one-time funding continuously from the day of birth until the multiples reach the age of two. If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the next working day is considered the deadline. The application must be accompanied by a current tax office notification regarding the receipt of family allowance; copies or scans are sufficient and will not be returned. The state government’s form is available online and can be submitted in writing (by post or email) or in person, without requiring own funds. Incomplete documents will be requested within a specified deadline. This funding initiative eases everyday family life, provides early planning security, and acknowledges the additional effort during the multiples’ first year of life.
