Description
Mobile Housing Support in Vienna is aimed at homeless and housing-insecure individuals with care needs who are seeking to move into their own contractually secured apartment. The focus is on the sustainable securing of housing through social work case management, which ensures rapid connection to medical and social services outside of homelessness assistance. Additionally, the activation of personal resources is promoted to enable an independent life within one’s own four walls. The support is provided by recognized institutions that offer comprehensive assistance on the path to independent living, individually addressing the participants’ life situations.
The continuously available grants can be applied for at any time. Eligible are persons with primary residence in Vienna who can demonstrably prove homelessness or risk of housing loss and are unable to secure their livelihood through their own or public funds. A prerequisite, in addition to income at least equal to the minimum amounts stipulated by the Vienna Minimum Income Act, is the willingness to cooperate and the waiver of immediate utilization of existing assets. Eligible costs include social work case management and support by recognized institutions; however, retroactive expenses or real estate acquisitions are not funded. Required documents include, among others, the completed application form, photo ID, registration certificate, proof of income and assets, as well as evidence of individual support needs. The program provides for an objective evaluation based on urgency, sustainability, and integration into social and medical services.
