Description
The state of Upper Austria supports educational measures for adults without sufficient minimum qualifications in the areas of basic education and completion of compulsory schooling through a grant program. Educational institutions with the appropriate accreditation can submit applications at any time, as the funding is continuously announced. The goal is to provide adult participants with better opportunities in the labor market and to strengthen their social integration. By financially supporting courses in the two thematic areas of vocational & further education as well as general education, the program makes a sustainable contribution to the qualification of individuals who have so far had no or insufficient formal qualifications.
Target groups include, on the one hand, adult individuals without minimum qualifications who wish to expand their skills through basic education or completion of compulsory schooling, and on the other hand, accredited providers who organize the corresponding courses. Funding requirements include, among others, successful accreditation of the educational measure, a framework of 100–400 teaching units for basic education or 1,000–1,180 units for compulsory schooling completion, a cost rate of EUR 100 to EUR 250 per teaching unit, and a maximum group size of ten participants. Eligible expenses include teaching and course costs; in case of dropout or absence from examinations, payment is made at 80% of the agreed cost rate. For the application, a written funding application, confirmations of participation and course costs, as well as actual cost accounting must be submitted. The deadline runs continuously throughout this year.
