Description

Completion of Educational Qualifications/Second Educational Pathway in Vienna specifically supports programs for basic education, completion of compulsory schooling, and the vocational matriculation examination with a special focus on inclusion, diversity, and skills development. Public institutions, educational establishments, and non-profit organizations can continuously apply for grants to increase the permeability of the education system and strengthen disadvantaged or previously underrepresented groups. Funding is provided not only for traditional learning formats but also for innovative model projects that promote networks between education providers, social institutions, and regional stakeholders. Participants thereby gain better opportunities for professional and social participation, while educators can employ modern methods and create intercultural as well as barrier-free learning environments.

Applications are submitted continuously to the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and require a clear presentation of the funding purpose as well as proof that the project would not be feasible or fully realizable without federal funds. Furthermore, financial security, the deployment of professionally qualified staff, and appropriate teaching and learning methods must be demonstrated. All events must be open and voluntarily accessible to interested parties. These framework conditions establish a quality standard that guarantees sustainable educational processes and establishes the second educational pathway as a central pillar of lifelong learning in Vienna.
