Funding objective

Description

The local heat supply based on renewable energy sources supports investments in future-proof heat supply systems in Tyrol. It is aimed at companies as well as other entrepreneurial organizations located in the federal state that wish to establish, expand, or optimize biomass or geothermal plants. Through financial participation, the program contributes to the state energy policy and significantly supports compliance with national climate targets. With funding of up to 30% of eligible expenses, a sustainable transition to renewable energy sources is supported, in line with the federal strategy for CO₂ reduction. Applications can be submitted from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2027, and are processed in close cooperation with Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH (KPC).

Funding is provided, among others, for biomass local heating plants, new construction, expansion, and densification of heat distribution networks based on biomass, geothermal energy, or industrial waste heat, optimization measures on existing systems, renewal of boiler plants, as well as geothermal local heating plants. The funding rate is a flat 30% of eligible costs, whereby the proportional state funding is linked to simultaneous federal funding. A location in Tyrol and a valid trade license are prerequisites. The application is submitted electronically via a web form and supplemented by formal documents and quality management data from qm-heizwerke or qm : kompakt. Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2027, at the latest. Evaluation and accounting are carried out in close cooperation with experts from Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH (KPC), ensuring prompt processing of funding. This business-friendly procedure combines ecological goals with economic efficiency.
