Description
In the state of Carinthia, the medical initial care of emergency patients and the professional transport to hospitals are strengthened through continuously available grant funding. The focus is on specially equipped emergency physician vehicles and rescue helicopters to promptly treat life-threatening or severe health conditions and to ensure transportability under professional supervision. The funding aims to sustainably guarantee care related to illness and accidents, thereby optimizing the emergency services infrastructure in the region. Only non-profit organizations that meet contractually agreed performance parameters and thus make a significant contribution to public welfare are eligible as recipients.
Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline. A prerequisite for receiving funds is the annual submission of performance indicators by the applying non-profit organization as well as strict compliance with the requirements of the contractual agreements. The funding is provided as a direct grant by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 5 – Health and Care, in cooperation with municipal and social insurance bodies.
