Description
The Tyrolean Initiative promotes extracurricular, leisure-educational work with children and youth with the aim of specifically supporting educational projects, investments in youth spaces, as well as educational measures and foundational research. Designed as a direct grant and open from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2027, applications can be submitted electronically at any time before the start of the planned measure. The flexible deadline structure creates space for innovative concepts that address the specific needs of children and young people in Tyrol and create sustainable places for encounters and learning. Funding is provided based on need, independent of budget, and oriented towards the submitted project content.
Eligible for funding are associations, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that implement the corresponding offers. Eligible expenses include leisure-educational projects, structural or technical investments in youth spaces, subject-specific educational measures, as well as studies for foundational research for expert work. Prerequisites are status affiliation according to the guidelines, submission of a detailed project description, a comprehensive cost and financing plan (project and overall annual budget), as well as disclosure of already applied for or granted funding. First-time applicants must also provide association statutes or an extract from the register. The Department of Society and Labor reviews the complete documents in the order of receipt; external reviewers may be consulted for evaluation. Funding decisions are made depending on the availability of funds, without any legally enforceable claim to approval.
