Description
An attractive funding offer in Upper Austria is aimed at companies, associations, and interest groups that do not operate commercial passenger transport themselves but organize regular and non-scheduled transport services. With uncomplicated, informal applications, operating costs for passenger transport under the Occasional Transport Act 1996 (GelverkG) as well as the Motor Vehicle Line Act (KflG) can be subsidized. The support is provided as a non-repayable grant, the amount of which is determined based on the availability of funds. Applications can be submitted at any time for the current year or for retroactive service periods, without a fixed submission deadline. This program helps to sustainably secure mobility services in rural and urban areas and to make cost-intensive trips plannable in the long term.
For the application, an informal request, proof of services rendered along with a detailed cost breakdown, and a written declaration of funding are required. Approval is granted according to the available budgets and does not establish any legal entitlement. With this funding, the Upper Austrian state government supports regional infrastructure and urban development by relieving voluntary initiatives and private operators in their work. Interested organizations gain planning security and can continue and expand mobility services for seniors, people with limited transport connections, or leisure groups without significant administrative effort.
