Program for the Improvement of Infrastructure in Rural Areas

The program for improving infrastructure in rural areas of Tyrol supports companies, interest groups, and public institutions in the implementation of essential construction measures. The aim is the targeted promotion of public road facilities to better access agricultural enterprises, supplemented by subsidies for agricultural cableways as well as the electrification and expansion of telephone connections on farmsteads. Eligible applicants include agricultural and forestry enterprises, road associations, road interest groups, and municipalities. The grant funding covers new construction and renovation projects in permanently inhabited areas and aims to strengthen rural areas both infrastructurally and economically.

Funding applications can be submitted continuously before the start of construction, with only projects having invoice dates after the funding approval being considered. A prerequisite is the submission of all official approval notices as well as the original invoices and payment receipts for cost reimbursement. Eligible expenses include construction measures on road facilities, installation of cableways, as well as electrification and telephone connection works. The informal application must be accompanied by a detailed project description and a construction cost estimate. Monitoring is generally carried out through on-site construction supervision and invoice verification by agricultural accounting. The indefinite funding measure offers actors in rural areas a reliable financing option to promptly implement sustainable infrastructure projects and strengthen the regional development process in the long term.
