Project Funding by the ASbH Foundation

The project funding of the ASbH Foundation is aimed nationwide at private individuals as well as non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the living conditions of people with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families. Within the thematic areas of social affairs, health, research & innovation, and work & social issues, the foundation supports a variety of initiatives – from public relations and integration measures to the development of a sustainable counseling and rehabilitation network, as well as the scientific study of these medical conditions. The ASbH Foundation sees itself as an initiator of low-threshold support services and aims to establish sustainably effective structures. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing project ideas to be implemented flexibly and continuously.

With its grant program, the ASbH Foundation offers participants the opportunity to further develop self-determined life and work perspectives. In addition to financing medical research projects, it specifically promotes practice-oriented approaches that directly address the needs of those affected. The foundation relies on close networking of experts from various disciplines and supports collaborations that generate integrative and innovative solutions. Through this funding instrument, long-term effective services are created with the goal of strengthening the social participation of people with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and sustainably relieving families in their daily lives.
