Project Funding of the Ahlen Community Foundation

The project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Ahlen is aimed at non-profit associations, institutions, initiatives, as well as individuals based in Ahlen, who pursue the goal of sustainably strengthening urban coexistence in the areas of culture, education, migration, environmental and nature conservation, construction and monument preservation, sports, health, research & innovation, science, social affairs, vocational training & further education, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as infrastructure & urban development. Ongoing grants support both own initiatives and third-party projects that impress with a high proportion of voluntary work, model and exemplary character, as well as a pronounced broad impact. Innovative approaches that promote self-help and contribute to the long-term preservation of the quality of life in the city of Ahlen are particularly honored.

Interested applicants submit a completed funding application, to which a detailed project description, a transparent cost and financing plan, and – if available – proof of non-profit status must be attached. Selection is based on clearly defined evaluation criteria: voluntary commitment, sustainability, innovativeness, broad impact, and exemplary effect. Since applications can be submitted at any time, the funding program allows for flexible and short-term planning of local initiatives. The Bürgerstiftung Ahlen informs applicants of the decision in writing in order to promptly advance the implementation of forward-looking projects and strengthen the Ahlen community.
