Description

The open project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Warburg supports non-profit initiatives in the districts of Warburg through in-kind and financial contributions. Eligible to apply are committed private individuals, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations whose projects are designed to connect generations and have a clear reference to a district of the city of Warburg. Fundable projects cover a broad range of topics – from education, children’s and youth projects to culture, media, and music, as well as environmental and nature conservation, sports, science, research, energy efficiency, and climate protection. The continuous awarding of grants aims to strengthen civic engagement, promote social cohesion, and provide sustainable impulses for local community life.

For the application, information about the applicant, a project description including a cost and financing plan, as well as a completed funding application (PDF or RTF) are required. Evaluation is carried out by the board and foundation council based on the fit with the statutory funding areas, the level of commitment, intergenerational collaboration, and the district reference. There is no application deadline – applications can be submitted at any time. This allows diverse initiatives to be implemented unbureaucratically and to sustainably shape the future of Warburg’s districts.
